The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Bonsai Builders is "integrity."From Jason & Kristin, and all the employees, they have a great deal of integrity. All of the trades people (carpenters, electricians, plasterers, plumbers, painters) are true professionals. They all take pride in their craft and work. They are a pleasure to be around and have the utmost respect for you and your home. Jason & Kristin have built a world-class team and company.This is my 5th house and 5th remodel/renovation. This is by far the nicest work, most pleasant people and experience I've had. When you deal with genuine, professional people who are proud of their work, you are going to get a first class result. The team was excellent from start to finish. The Company’s approach to the project was systematic, thorough and efficient. They really took the time to understand our wants and needs. We renovated a small bathroom and had grand plans for the space. They were able to use every inch of the space in the house to pull off exactly what we wanted. Bonsai also thought the job would take about 1 month. They were done in 15 days. Just fantastic. And it was done right with exceptional quality. They also coordinated the inspections perfectly, which were all able to get done in 1 day saving a tremendous amount of time. And the actual crew was the best. They were always on time. Always clean. And very nice to our family. I don’t think this project could have gone any better.Our son has special needs and they worked so hard to make sure he was comfortable throughout the demolition and install phases of the project. Just above and beyond on the work and quality of people on site.Lastly, they were able to get us discounts on the products used in the bathroom, saved us additionally. Wouldn’t want to use anyone else.

We had a major kitchen renovation completed by Bonsai Builders and we couldn’t possibly be more pleased with the process or the outcome. Kristin and Jason were professional, responsive and extremely patient in explaining the steps involved. Their entire team treated my family, my home and my dog with the utmost respect. Like I said in the beginning this was a major renovation and there was only one small hiccup. Kristin and Jason made sure the issue was rectified to my satisfaction almost immediately. We had a unique basement project that involved bringing a staircase up to code and the challenge of restrictive space that might have resulted in losing closet space in a bedroom above, and gutting a water damaged room and turning into a useable space. After talking to several companies, Bonsai Builders was the only ones who were able to offer some solutions and were open to working with our town’s inspector to find a resolution. Jason and Kristin were accessible and kept in touch throughout the project. Their team, including Kenney and Mike, offered creative solutions that really improved our entire basement. Every step of the way when there were unanticipated issues, the team was able to quickly develop a plan that resolved them in a timely manner. They were able to rebuild our staircase without affecting the upstairs bedroom and did an outstanding job in making our basement a functional space with a nice air exchange system. We enjoyed working with the team; everyone was very professional and easy going. We would not hesitate to reach out to them for future projects. Thank you!

The very best!!! From the moment I met with Jason and his crew they were like family. Every step of the way they ensured the best quality and made our dream sunroom affordable. My kids sat out there grilling them with questions as they worked tirelessly through extreme heat or pouring rain and they always were so kind and showed them exactly what they were doing. Kenny, who was onsite everyday was very communicative every step of the way and Jason took the lead on any roadblocks. Bonsai is the very best, trustworthy, hard working and most of all great people. I have recommended them to a bunch of others and I would do it a 1000 more times.

The quality and professionalism of the Bonsai construction team was top rate! Friends who were here during construction commented they had never seen such a clean construction site. They had a incredible attention to detail and quality and we are very pleased with the outcome. They worked hard to keep to schedule and it was complete more quickly than anyone could believe, compared to projects friends have completed with other vendors.

We struggled for almost a year to find a reliable contractor, and the day Kristin and Jason came into our home we knew our search was over. From the first moment we met them they were extremely professional and responsive. They took the saddest kitchen you've ever seen and made it into the kitchen of our dreams! Our home is old, and we didn't want to completely lose the old feel to it - Jason's team went so far as to find the exact router bit to be able to match all of our new trim perfectly to the rest of the house. The quality of work is truly top-notch. It was a huge job, and so naturally there were hiccups, but Jason went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with our kitchen. Their team was prompt and professional; I have never worked with anyone in this industry so dependable. We cannot wait to have them continue to help us renovate our dream home! Bonsai was excellent to work with. A home improvement project can inherently feel invasive, however, the Bonsai Team was conscientious to this and took such care and pride to work around and respect our young family's day to day. Communication and respect from Bonsai's sub contractors was equally as impressive. Bonsai used high end, new quality tools, and the crew was very experienced. We appreciated the attention to detail, a little OCD when it comes to cabinet and tile install leads to a great product. Any potential issues or unforeseen conditions were brought to our attention right away and multiple solutions were presented; this honesty and transparency is refreshing to find. Working with Bonsai Builders has been a great time. They did an extensive remodel for me of turning an adjoining empty room into an on-suite bathroom, redoing the closet in the primary bedroom, remodeling the first floor half bath, and redoing the coat closet which shares a wall. As the house is over 150 years old we found many surprises including old knob and tube wiring and an old load bearing wall that had been removed some time in the past which all had to be dealt with. Bonsai Builders knew who to call and had all the necessary experts on hand to work with to solve all the issues. I will definitely be using them again.

Jason, Kristin, and the whole team at Bonsai were incredible. I received a phone call from Jason very soon after I submitted my inquiry and he spent several minutes talking to me about my project and answering all of my questions. Jason and Kristin came out to the property to understand exactly what we wanted and they were available for phone calls at nearly any hour — we often chatted while we were making dinner for our families. They both attended a town meeting with us for approval of our project and then took care of all necessary paperwork. The team that worked on the screen house was professional, on time, clean, and friendly. We are incredibly happy with the final product and will use Bonsai for any and all future projects at our home. I highly recommend you give them a call.

Bonsai did an incredible job from helping us conceptualize to completion in renovating our kitchen. Kristen & Jason were able to walk us through the project, help us select flooring, backspace, countertops, and make other choices in our design. Their contractors, especially Dave showed incredible attention to detail & skill in their craftsmanship. They showed us how things aligned and how they made our new kitchen feel bright and spacious. Their efficient process had our kitchen done in a few weeks, and we’re thrilled to have such a magnificent kitchen to ourselves. Working with Bonsai, Jason/Kristin was great. We had an unforeseen renovation/bathroom model due to an insurance claim. The project included was a complete bathroom reno that involved replacing the subfloor, all new framing, tile, floor, new shower stall as well as replacing ceilings on the mail floor and painting a large portion of the house. Bonsai was able to fit us into their schedule pretty quickly and were very east to work with. Kristin's design help was great and the guys that came to the house to do the work were very professional and communicated with us regularly. As with any major project there were some hiccups, but Jason was always available to take our call and addressed any concerns we had immediately. We would definitely work with the Bonsai team again

We were ready to go ahead and begin our kitchen renovation. We found Bonsai on line and called on a whim to see if we could get a live body and not a recording. We did! Someone answered!Spoke to Allison who immediately and professionally handed my call to Kristin. I was elated. Kristin was kind, interested, and very easy to talk with about our project. We made an appointment and Kristin and husband came over at said time, ON TIME, and spent an hour with us discussing what we wanted to do and how they handled their business.Our number one concern was communication with us and if, when they started, they would be here everyday…not running to some other job and leaving us to wonder why we weren’t important anymore.They had teams of extremely loyal employees who were respectful and polite to us. Kristin and Jason are well respected by the guys that worked here. That meant a lot.The communication never wavered. We knew everyday who would be here, when the cabinets were being delivered, what we needed to have at the ready….appliances in, tile ordered, etc….Any issue that came up was talked over and a solution found. One big thing that came up was we decided (in the middle of everything) to tile the kitchen and two adjacent rooms because our kitchen floor couldn’t be salvaged and WE WANTED new cohesive tiling in all the rooms….they found the time….and no wavering if they could do it or not….it was done…and it is done beautifully. Perfectly. Love it…..We could not be more happy with our new kitchen and surrounding rooms…Even though they may be a newer company…they have built a reputation with us. Highly recommend.

From start to finish Jason and Kristin at Bonsai were an A+ team. They helped us imagine what our basement could be and used our input to come up with a great hang out area we could share with our kids, their friends and our cats as well as a gym/work out space. The work on the walls and floors were done by a couple of their regular crew guys with Mike taking the lead. They were always timely, respectful and cleaned up the space as they went answering any questions I had along the way. Even when there were a couple of hiccups they responded right away (even when they were away on vacation) and addressed the issue. The plasterer they used was new to them and was let go quickly after only half the job was done and Mike and crew came to the rescue to finish up. The electrician they used did a great job and the painter who came in to finish was great even mixing up another color after we didn’t like what we originally bought. About a week after everything was done Jason and Kristin came by to take some pictures of our new space and they brought a gift basket with thoughtful additions for the new hang out space. A great overall experience from start to finish and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

Finding Bonsai was one of the first big wins for us in our new home. There are several projects that need to be done and having a contractor that you can trust (and who also communicates with you) is a huge weight lifted off of us. Bonsai Builders installed a mirror and did an excellent job. The mirror was placed precisely where we wanted it and it was securely attached to the wall. They were professional, polite, and took care to protect the surrounding area from any damage during the installation process. We had only one full size bathroom in our house, we lived with a completely outdated space with the quintessential blue bathtub for 22 years. We met with Jason and Kristin from Bonsai builders and immediately knew they were the company we wanted to have do our job. They made space by removing a closet and incorporating it into the bathroom, allowing us to move our washer and dryer into the space. Jason and his team are absolutely outstanding, paying attention to every detail. They started and ended the job efficiently and on time. They are also completely accessible, answer questions and phone calls promptly. We absolutely love our new bathroom and would without hesitation recommend Bonsai Builders for any project!

After calling all of the contractors in my area and getting basically ghosted by ALL OF THEM. I was driving to Worcester and saw these beautifully wrapped trucks with the name “Bonsai Builders” and a phone number, I said what the heck and called the number. On the other end of the line was a friendly, perky, funny and knowledgeable person named Allison, I also spoke to Kristin who was equally awesome! We talked about what I needed and she said she would send someone out right away…. Enter Jason… he’s the kind of guy you feel like you grew up with and hung out with, in other words AWESOME!!! They sent over a quote right away for the work I needed done. The quote was reasonable and I booked them right away. I own a 130 year old Victorian and I was a little nervous with Bonsai being the new kids on the block and all… needless to say I pushed forward with all of the trust I could muster. Jason came out with his crew and WOW went above and beyond with the excellent craftsmanship of a skilled artisan!!!! They fixed my 130 old columns! Amazing work, amazing people. We had a punch list of carpentry jobs, which included, but not limited to 1.) replacing the rotted wood frame around a 2nd floor window with PVC, 2.) replacing old rotted shed doors with new ones, 3.) replacing old rotted sidings with new PVC boards. Jason and Kristin were patient, professional, and knowledgeable. They gave options that would save us money. The lead carpenter/contractor was both polite and professional. He was meticulous in getting the job right, and went the extra mile to point out other issues in our house that needed to be addressed immediately. From start to finish my entire experience with Bonsai Builders was amazing!I had a very unique project and wasn't sure if a builder could even take on my idea. When I went to their website I saw all their beautiful work from kitchens, bathrooms, decks and more, but I also read something that caught my eye! Their website had a section of pictures for what they called, "Fun Projects!" Listed in this group were different "out of the box" ideas for different kinds of projects. I knew right away that I wanted to work with them!Kristin and Jason were so great to work with! Honestly, I think they were just as excited to create my voice over booth as I was! They were extremely professional and every step of the way, they really understood my vision. Not only did they listen to detail, but they also designed it to be user friendly with electricity, USB and my very own "On Air" light with the logo of my brand! In the end, I got the most amazing voice over booth!!! It's everything I dreamed of and more!Because of my experience with Bonsai Builders I'm excited to say, that I will definitely be using them again for future projects! Bonsai Builders made our dream kitchen become a reality by taking our outdated 90s kitchen into the next century. A 100% remodel, which unlike most big box store contractors, Bonsai was equipped with all talent to execute all tasks, large or small. The Initial kitchen estimate was prompt, detailed and very competitive. Kristin provided us with great ideas and shopped with us for all components; flooring, cabinets, counters and backsplashes. The demolition was quick and install worked out well, identifying subtle details that I wouldn’t have even noticed to ensure our vision met reality. Unforeseen issues with an older house are expected but most were transparent to me. They were even able to procure an unforeseen window replacement and the installation schedule barely slipped. In a time with supply chain issues and my irregular window size this was truly a grand accomplishment. The team is a local business and treats all their employees as family as evident by how well I was treated by everyone. True professionals. I have already scheduled the next phase of my home remodel with them which is the real sign of a happy customer. Thanks again Bonsai!!!

Jason, Kristin and their team were fantastic! They completed a mold restoration project for our elderly mother's home involving a small bathroom and kitchen. The team was very accommodating in fitting a smaller project into their busy schedule quickly. There were very few issues during the project but anything that did come up, was proactively addressed skillfully with detail, and at a reasonable cost. The detail and thoughtfulness that the entire team showed our mother throughout the project makes us highly recommend them for any future projects. Thank you Bonsai Builders!

We met with several contractors prior to choosing Bonsai Builders for our basement renovation. From the moment Kristin and Jason came into our home for the initial consultation, we felt like we had found our match. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Bonsai Builders. I had them do 2 separate projects for me this year, a second floor remodel with an upgrade to the master bathroom and a custom screened in porch and re-decking a L-shaped deck.Kristen and Jason were great to work with and I greatly appreciated that as this was my first time doing a major project on my own. Kristen took me shopping for floor tiles, shower tiles and countertop, helping me hone in on what I really wanted for style and colors. Jason was so patient with all my questions and concern regarding the remodel with a tight deadline. Their team was very professional making sure to protect my hardwood floors on the first floor as they went in and out.I am so happy with how everything came out and I look forward to working with them again.

The wooden deck on our house, which we bought four and a half years ago, had planks that were beginning to rot. Jason and Kristin responded to our call promptly, and came by to patiently walk us through the entire process and explain all of our options. They didn't try to "upsell" us on more expensive options that we didn't need, and we ended up going with the "medium" option they presented to us. Their staff were courteous and professional, and even managed to remove a rabbit that had been nesting under the old deck for us! The new deck looks great, and we're very happy with Bonsai. Five stars.

Kristen and Jason were great to work with for our sunroom renovation. They quickly responded to my initial call followed by a visit to check out the project. The estimates were clear, very detailed, and they were transparent about the work that would be involved to complete the project. They were very accommodating and worked to make sure that we ended up with the room we wanted. We had started the sunroom project ourselves, but needed someone to do the floor and finish work for us. We started with a concrete floor that was uneven and cold, so we knew getting the floor level and insulated the way we wanted was going to be a difficult project. They built a sleeper system with pressure treated wood and installed insulation between the sleeper joists which provided a flat surface for the finish floor. They also built a closet, installed the trim, flooring, fixed the joint compound and plastered the new walls, reframed the two entry doors, fixed a leaking door, and added on a painting job after we originally said we would do the painting ourselves. Even though the existing walls were uneven, the trim they installed was detailed and they did a good job of hiding the imperfections that were there before they started the project. My wife and I are extreme perfectionists and detail oriented. As such, we are more particular and precise than most people. Therefore, we noticed some issues with the paint which they promptly fixed. When Jason came to look at the paint job he immediately recognized what we were concerned about and made sure the job was completed to our satisfaction. We have worked with other contractors who have tried to make excuses or have tried to tell us that our expectations weren't reasonable. Jason came to look at the project every day, ensuring that what we wanted was what we got. The crew was very friendly and they cleaned up after each day of work. Because of how easy it was to work with them, and how good their workmanship was, as our sunroom project progressed we decided to have them build a small deck in the back of the house and build a new stairway into the house. The entire project came out great and we are extremely happy with our new space. We'd highly recommend Bonsai Builders!

I hired Jason and his crew last summer to build a deck in my backyard as well as replace my old front steps. They were incredibly easy to work with, listened to my ideas, and advised me on designs and materials I never would have thought of. The results were more than I ever imagined. Their estimate was spot on and the workmanship is simply impeccable. Jason is not satisfied until everything is perfect. I loved working with them so much, I hired them back to completely remodel my old, tired kitchen. This required a complete gutting and redesign that transformed the old inefficient space into a chef's kitchen. Kristen was invaluable in advising me on tile and lighting. She met with me multiple time at the tile shop where she was able to show me patterns and colors I never would have thought of. At times, she was more excited than me! She even met me at the stone warehouse to select the right piece of granite for my countertops. It's amazing what Bonsai was able to do with my really small kitchen. The results are nothing short of amazing. The design is clean and bright, making this tiny area spacious and livable. I cannot believe this is my kitchen.If you want a contractor who listens to you, quickly responds to your calls, gives honest opinions, accurate estimates, uses only the best materials, who will work with you until you are completely satisfied, and most importantly, keeps an open line of communication throughout your entire job, give them a call.

Kristin and Jason were a pleasure to work with! They responded immediately when we reached out looking to remodel our master shower and install a backsplash in the kitchen. Jason and Kristen were the best! We had a very challenging situation, and Kristen found the right engineer specific to our unique problem. They were both extremely helpful in getting us through to completion. They and their team were all very friendly and professional, a true joy to have working closely with us in our home over the last couple of months. They created a beautiful space out of what had been a problem area in our house. The photos may look odd, but where the tile is used to be on the outside of our home. The roofline was restructured and extended to enclose that into the house. I have added photos showing progress during construction. Attention to detail is top notch! We are thrilled with our basement finish by Bonsai Builders. We received quotes from more than 10 contractors for our project. Not only were Kristin and Jason the most professional and the most knowledgeable, but their pricing was extremely competitive. We found Bonsai Builders while searching for contractors in the area, and despite not being familiar with them, we met to discuss what we were looking to do and left with a good feeling that we were on the same page and that they listened to what we wanted. We ultimately hired them for a remodel of our outdated kitchen and bathroom and it was the right decision. The communication was great throughout the process from the initial planning and design to any running changes made along the way. Even when we discovered an issue after the job was complete, Jason and his team came right back out to fix it to make sure we were happy. Genuinely good people who I trusted in my home and were respectful of our living space, even when I had to work from home. They cared about the end result and we will absolutely use them again for future projects.

Kristin and Jason did a great job on a bathroom remodel and a new bathroom--the pics speak for themselves! We especially appreciated that they were in constant communication throughout the process and that they made a huge effort to complete the job in time for us to enjoy our new place for part of the summer. We were not on-site for almost all the work and we completely trusted them and their team.

Our prior contractor was too busy for the work that needed to be done which led me to find Bonsai Builders...a blessing in disguise, if you ask me! Our front porch was in need of some major updating (a lot of rotting wood, railings were wobbly, pillar trim and paint coming off, etc). They were able to squeeze us in their busy schedule which I totally appreciate. Jason was very honest with what work needed to be done as I initially only asked for new railings. I didn't want to wait until the rotting wood got worse so I agreed and trusted his professional opinion. Thank goodness I did because there was a little more damage from water and ants that he found which I didn't want to deal with down the road. He used pvc to wrap the base of the pillars (which looks so much better and well proportioned) and replaced all our risers and kick board with pvc too. I am all for low maintenance so I'm glad I don't have to worry about rotting wood again! He even replaced our electrical outlet to a more low profile one.Jason is a perfectionist...very detail-oriented and meticulous, he kept pointing things out that I would never have noticed and fixed the issue promptly. He and his worker were respectful of the property, cleaned up after themselves, and were on time. I can't forget about Kristin (Jason's wife and company manager) who was very communicative in regards to scheduling, estimates, etc. She was very responsive and got back to me quickly whenever I had a question (a rare trait these days!).Overall, I would definitely recommend Bonsai Builders and look forward to hiring them again in the future. I've already received so many compliments online. Even my neighbor stopped to say how beautiful it came out as she was driving away. Hire them, you won't regret it!!
